Music has been a part of my life for as far back as I can remember. On the way home from school I can vividly recall my grandad tapping on the steering wheel of our 1980's Nissan Cherry Vanette perfectly in beat while singing along to traditional Samoan music . I also remember the voices of my cousins singing along to the latest pop tracks from the early 90's while jumping on the trampoline at our family barbeques. Looking back, music to me has always been a catalyst for fun and meaningful memories.

 

In 2003 while attending University in Hamiton, New Zealand one of my friends residing at my halls of residence gave me a copy of Mixmeister DJ software. Little did I know, It would go on to change the course of my life and help me discover a passion for sharing my love of music.

Fastforward 12 years later, after many humble garage parties, private events, hundreds of weddings, corporate events, and festivals, my wife and I were blessed with the opportunity to run our own DJ & Entertainment business. At the time (July, 2015) we had 4 members on the team and now have 19 of New Zealand's top event DJs.

Limelight DJ & Entertainment's purpose is to create unforgettable moments through feel good music. We know there is nothing quite like dropping the right track, at the right time, and in the right way to get any crowd going. That's why our team is the key to our success and that of any event we're privileged to be a part of. Our team is proudly diverse and are experts in reading the floor and blending genres when required. We specialise in today's hit music with an appreciation of the classics from the past.
